My Dynamic Duo
I’ve always been a fan of trying something new in skincare, especially when I was working in the beauty industry. When I was hit with adult acne just a couple of years ago, I was ready to try anything and everything to vanish those stubborn breakouts. I tried products from the beauty counter and beauty aisles; high end, oil free, fragrance free, alcohol free, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid..I could be here forever listing everything I ever tried, not to mention these products came in cleanser, toner and treatment form.
One night I was reading a beauty article and I came across an adult acne post. Naturally I was interested in reading another article that may help me find the miracle product(s) that will help banish my breakouts for good! As I read the article, there were products that I’ve never tried before, – also wondering why didn’t I try that in the first place? I decided to stop with my current skincare regimen all together and try something new.
I was ready to try some La Roche Posay products again; this time from their acne line, Effaclar. Effaclar Duo[+] is an acne treatment that also keeps you hydrated, so you don’t have to worry about your skin becoming dry and flaky. The product contains salicylic acid which helps acne and clogged pores.
I’ve tried a lot of products with salicylic acid, but nothing like this that showed my acne who’s boss! It not only helps with existing/future breakouts, but also helps fade my dark spots too. I only apply Effaclar Duo [+] to the affected areas, so the rest of my face needs some moisture too.
My Go To Moisturizer
I use Toleriane Ultra Fluide from LRP for the rest of my face. It’s a perfect formulation for sensitive and combination/oily skin.
I am thrilled with my latest skincare findings. Finding the right product for your skin takes time, trial and error. Once you find your perfect match, you will feel a sense of accomplishment and you’ll be happy to share your findings with others, just like I did.
Side note, if you are looking for a great lip moisturizer I highly recommend LRP’s Nutritic. It’s amazing for the cold winter months; when our lips tend to be a lot dryer.
